This miniature bronze shows Ganesha standing within a prabha or aureole. His trunk is long and slender extending to the sweetmeat in his palm. His upper hands hold an axe and noose, his usual attributes. The crown is small and compact and a full belly overlaps onto a small dhoti. The stylistic elements of this piece point to the 11th century.
